Description
Beyblade X CX-14 Starter Knight Fortress GV 8-70UN is a genuine Takara Tomy Beyblade X starter. First Japanese release: 2026-03-28.
Design and background
CX Custom Line lets the Blade separate into Lock Chip, Main Blade and Assist Blade for compatible part changes. This release uses the Expand construction of that line. Knight Fortress is a CX Expand defensive build with contact points around its circumference. The Guard Over Blade and broad 8-70 Ratchet help it meet attacks from several directions.
A launcher is included with this starter. A Beyblade X stadium is needed for play.
Stock battle type: Defense. Spin: right. Stock Ratchet and Bit notation: 8-70UN.
Components and performance data
The ratings below describe documented parts in the highlighted stock configuration. They are relative catalogue scores, not win rates or percentages. A community label means the number is not a Takara Tomy rating.
- Lock Chip - Knight: identification component; no separate numerical contribution to these part ratings.
- Blade - Fortress: Attack 15, Defense 30, Stamina 15 (community catalogue part ratings).
- Over Blade - Guard: Attack 5, Defense 10, Stamina 5 (community catalogue part ratings).
- Assist Blade - Vertical: Attack 10, Defense 25, Stamina 5 (community catalogue part ratings).
- Ratchet - 8-70: Attack 8, Defense 10, Stamina 12 (community catalogue part ratings).
- Bit - Under Needle (UN): Attack 10, Defense 60, Stamina 20, Dash 10, Burst 30 (community catalogue part ratings).
8-70 has a nominal 7 mm Ratchet height; that is not the assembled Bey's overall height.
Hasbro equivalent
Outside Japan, Hasbro sells Knight Fortress as Armor Knight. Hasbro release: Armor Knight GV 8-70UN Starter (G4563), same stock combo.
This listing is the genuine Takara Tomy release, not the Hasbro product.
Use only with compatible Beyblade X equipment; do not battle against earlier Beyblade series. Small parts make this unsuitable for children under six. BEYBLADE and BEYBLADE X are trademarks of TOMY Company, Ltd. Monkee Mods is an authorised retailer.
