A set of four hex-hole ball bearings sized for Mini 4WD car axles, fitted in place of the stock plain bushings to cut rolling friction and let the drivetrain turn more freely. Lower friction at the axles translates into more efficient use of motor power and higher achievable top speed.
Because bearings mount on the axle rather than the chassis itself, Tamiya lists this set as compatible with essentially the full Mini 4WD range, from the Type 3 chassis through current releases. The hex-shaped bore is a deliberate match for Mini 4WD's hex-section axles, a design Tamiya has used across the whole product line specifically so wheels and bearings key onto the axle without needing a separate retaining pin or flat, unlike a plain round-bore bearing, which can spin loose on a round shaft under load.

Choose a Tamiya Mini 4WD gear set by the exact chassis, motor layout and instructions. Check ratio, gear cover and event rules before changing the drivetrain.
