Description
A mass damper set built around ball-and-socket connectors rather than a fixed link, letting the weight articulate more freely to help keep a Mini 4WD's wheels in contact with an uneven or undulating circuit. The damper itself is a 6x6x32mm block, and it mounts low on the chassis via the included FRP plate, helping keep the car's overall center of gravity down. Tamiya lists it as fitting FM-A, Super-II, Super X, Super XX, Super TZ-X, VS, MS, AR, MA, VZ and ME Chassis cars, though on that same range of chassis the manufacturer's own fitment notes call for pairing it with the separately sold Grade-Up Parts No. 15430, and some bodies may need modification to clear the low-mounted block. Ball-connector mass dampers like this one are generally favoured for rougher, jump-heavy circuits, where the extra freedom of movement lets the weight react to landing impacts rather than transmitting them straight into the chassis.
