A pair of 17mm rollers machined from precision aluminum with a matte, race-spec finish rather than the anodized colours used on standard Grade-Up roller sets. Being "ringless," they run on the bare aluminum roller body without a separate outer collar. Each roller has a 520 ball bearing built into its center for smooth, low-friction rotation, and the set includes two screws and four aluminum spacers for mounting.
It's part of a wider ringless ball-race roller family that also includes item 15437 at 13mm and item 15464 at 19mm, so racers can match roller diameters front to rear. Tamiya also sells 17mm rollers in other styles, such as the 3-spoke item 15161 and the plastic-ringed item 15449, both of which add a visible collar or spoke detail this ringless version omits in favour of a plainer, lower-drag body.
