Description
Flame Astute, the fifth model in the REV Series, blends styling elements from Tamiya's R/C Astute buggy with the look of a modern American racing machine. A slim nose leads into a widened rear section, with a front wing, side pontoons, a curved rear wing and induction-pod air intakes handling the aerodynamics. The red body is finished with blue, white and silver markings and metallic logo stickers, over low-profile tires.
It shares its AR chassis with the rest of the REV Series: an aerodynamic structure that channels air through the car's interior to cool the battery and motor, integrated chassis/body air intakes, low-friction plastic bearings, a removable underpanel and diffuser, and a low-friction rear skid bar for slope sections. This build runs a 3.5:1 gear ratio.
