The brake sponges are cut to a 5mm width, 2mm thick, in two different densities for tuning braking force, and the stay's skid-shaped front edge resists the sponge peeling off and helps avoid the sharp speed loss that can occur crossing a course's turf sections. It also recovers cleanly if the car climbs a fence after a jump when running two-stage rollers. Mounting position (front/rear) and height are adjustable via the screw and spacer combination, and it fits both small- and large-diameter tires.
