Tamiya MS Chassis Reinforced Gear Cover (Fluorescent Orange) Mini 4WD Station(95681)

A reinforced gear cover for the MS chassis, sold as a Mini 4WD Station limited item, replacing the kit's standard gear cover (A2 part) and battery-retaining part (A6 part). Where the stock cover is a simple snap-fit piece, this version is held down with four screws, adding rigidity that resists the chassis twisting under load at high speed. It's molded in fluorescent orange; paired with the separately sold Item 95682 MS Color Chassis Set (Fluorescent Orange), it lets builders finish an entire MS chassis in matching orange.

It went on sale around 19 April 2025 through Tamiya's network of Mini 4WD Stations rather than general retail, typical for parts in this "Station limited" line. Beyond looks, the gear cover's job is to keep the gear train enclosed and free of debris while also holding the battery in place against vibration, so a snap-fit cover that's come loose or cracked from repeated battery changes is a common failure point on a well-used MS chassis; the screw-down design here is meant to outlast that wear, and being a direct swap for the stock A2/A6 parts it needs no other modification to fit.
