ME Chassis Tuning Guide

ME is Tamiya's newer lightweight midship chassis, so its competitive setup patterns are still developing. Treat it as an evolving platform: build a reliable standard setup first and avoid copying aggressive modifications from older chassis without testing.

Protect the front mounting area

Early reports point to the front bumper mounting area as a point to inspect after impacts. Fit stays carefully, avoid overtightening, and check for stress marks after a hard landing. Its light weight can be useful, but only after the car is consistently finishing runs.

Use provisional advice carefully

Start with a balanced PRO motor, clean drivetrain and measured brake setup. Record noise, heat and landing behaviour. Community experience with ME is still young, so repeatable testing is more useful than chasing an assumed "best" build.
