MS Chassis Tuning Guide: Basic to MS Flex

The MS is Mini 4WD PRO's modular midship platform. Start by making the drivetrain quiet and reliable: use a reinforced screw-down gear cover before adding more motor, then check that the front, centre and rear units sit squarely together.

Build stability before flex

Set up rollers, stays and modest damping first. N1/N2 front units and T1 rear units can feel and clear differently, so treat a chassis change as a new baseline rather than mixing parts by assumption. Match motor and gear ratio to the course, then alter one variable at a time.

When MS Flex makes sense

MS Flex is an open-class technique for rough, jump-heavy courses, not a beginner shortcut. It relies on controlled movement between the three units; excessive free play makes a car inconsistent. Do not cut the chassis for Stock Class or B-MAX-style rulesets.
