Essential Mini 4WD Pit Tools
A well-packed pit box turns a frustrating race day into a productive one. Most of what you need is small and cheap.
The essentials
Cross-head drivers in the sizes your chassis uses, a good side cutter, needle files, tweezers and a small ruler. These cover the majority of trackside work.
Setup-specific tools
A bearing or wheel press, an axle-straightening reference and a set of feeler or height gauges make roller and brake adjustment repeatable rather than approximate.
Consumables
Spare screws, nuts, washers, spacers, brake sponge, a spare axle set and a spare gear set. These are what actually run out mid-day.
Keep it organised
A compartment box beats a bag. Being able to find a 2mm spacer in ten seconds between heats is worth more than owning every tool in the catalogue.
