Tamiya Mini 4WD Double-Sided Tape Set(10304)

A roll of double-sided adhesive tape sized for Mini 4WD maintenance work. It is most commonly used to mount rubber tires onto wheels and to fix brake sponge (foam) strips to the underside of the chassis for track braking sections. The adhesive gives a secure bond while staying thin enough not to add noticeable bulk or throw off wheel balance.

Because ride height and chassis clearance in Mini 4WD racing are set in fractions of a millimetre, many racers build up several thin layers of this tape rather than relying on one fixed-thickness strip, fine-tuning a brake sponge's height and firmness by adding or peeling back layers between runs instead of swapping the sponge itself. The same adhesive seats tires onto wheels without the added weight, mess or cure time of glue, and stays workable enough that a tire can be lifted and re-centred if it goes on slightly off-round. Because it gets used up in small amounts across many minor jobs rather than one big one, most racers keep a roll permanently in their trackside toolbox alongside spare screws and washers.
