Each plate measures 91mm in length and 7mm in thickness, with multiple pre-formed attachment holes to suit different mounting positions. Some car bodies may need trimming to clear the plates once fitted.
Tamiya lists it as fitting virtually every chassis it has produced, from the original Type 3 through the current VZ and ME platforms, making it one of the most broadly compatible add-on parts in the Grade-Up range. Unlike the stock ABS bumper it reinforces, FRP resists flexing and cracking under repeated wall or rail contact, which matters because a bent or cracked bumper throws off roller alignment and costs cornering speed. The multiple pre-formed holes let racers choose a mounting position rather than being locked to one.
