The N-02 and T-01 units form the nose and tail sections of the MS chassis, the areas that take the brunt of impacts with course walls and obstacles, so reinforcing them addresses one of the more failure-prone parts of the chassis rather than being a purely cosmetic swap. Because the added glass fiber content makes the plastic denser and less forgiving than the kit-standard resin, Tamiya notes that screw fit can run tighter than with the stock units, so it's worth threading screws in gradually rather than forcing them on the first pass to avoid stripping the mounting holes.
