Browse available alternativesA set of shim-style plates fitted between the chassis and roller stays to fine-tune roller downthrust angle -- the slight downward tilt that keeps a car's rollers pressed against the course guardrail without lifting off. The plates are molded at 1, 2 and 3 degree angles, and each can be flipped over to reverse the angle, giving six selectable settings from three plates. Washers are included for further adjustment.
Downthrust -- tilting the rollers slightly downward relative to the track surface -- keeps a car pressed onto the course rather than launching off it at speed bumps and slope transitions, so racers commonly fine-tune it in small increments rather than picking one fixed angle. Offering 1, 2 and 3 degree plates that can each be flipped for the reverse angle gives six selectable steps from just three physical plates, letting a racer test angles either side of neutral without needing six separate parts. The included washers allow further fine adjustment, and because the plates are molded in red, they're easy to spot when swapping setups between races.
