An FRP (fiber-reinforced plastic) stay designed to mount 9mm, 13mm, or 19mm ball-bearing rollers in wide positions on a Mini 4WD chassis. Its rigid construction resists flex under cornering loads, while the multiple mounting holes let builders combine different roller sizes, heights, and widths to fine-tune handling.
The stay can be fitted to either the front or rear of the car, and the small attachment parts needed are included.
Tamiya's own parts catalog lists fitment across nineteen chassis in total, from Type 3 through the current ME chassis, making this one of the broadest-fitting roller stays in the Grade-Up Parts range. Type 1 and Type 2 chassis are notably absent from that list, so older machines on those chassis are better served by a different stay.

Mini 4WD brake sponge hardness and stay angle are two separate settings. Compare friction grade against mounting angle so the car slows safely and consistently.
