A heavier version of Tamiya's mass damper, using two 8.8g weights (versus 4.7g in the standard Mass Damper Set) to counteract bounce when a car goes airborne, particularly after tricky lane-change sections. The added mass helps stabilize the car's vertical movement at high speed, reducing the chance of it leaving the course on landing.
The weight's range of travel can be tuned using the included hex nuts and spacers, or locked in place entirely for a fixed setup.
Tamiya lists this set as compatible with eleven chassis, FM-A through the current ME chassis, narrower than most Grade-Up roller parts since it needs a rear mount rated for the extra swinging mass. Older chassis like Type 3 or Super-1 aren't listed, reflecting how mass dampers only became standard once courses added jump sections.
