Tamiya 72mm Reinforced Shafts (Black, 4pcs.)(15417)

A set of four 72mm hex-drive rear axle shafts, the longer counterpart to Tamiya's 60mm reinforced shafts, sized for the wider Super X and Super XX chassis machines. Built from carbon-reinforced resin for high rigidity and finished with gloss black metal plating.

Tamiya lists this 72mm shaft as compatible with only Super X and Super XX, the two widest machines in the current line-up, which is why it needs 12mm more length than the 60mm shaft to reach the wheels. As with the 60mm version, the hex-drive end mates directly with hex-bore wheels, and carbon-reinforced resin is used in place of plain resin specifically to resist the extra twisting load a wide rear axle carries under hard acceleration.
