This set supplies 2mm stainless steel cap screws in 25mm and 30mm lengths, longer than the screws typically used for lightweight bodywork. Their length and stainless steel's rigidity suit them to securing heavier add-on parts such as mass dampers, or roller stays that take repeated impact against the course wall. Tamiya lists the screws as compatible across essentially its whole current and legacy chassis lineup, from Type 3 through the modern MS, AR, MA, VZ, and ME chassis, since a 2mm cap screw thread is shared hardware across nearly every Mini 4WD kit and grade-up part. Released in November 2012 as Grade-Up Part No.454, the two lengths cover the two most common long-screw needs on a tuned machine: 25mm for most stay and damper mounts, and 30mm for stacking multiple spacers or thicker aluminum plates where a shorter screw would not reach full thread engagement.
