Tamiya 2mm Aluminum Lock Nut (Red, 5pcs.)(15493)

A 2mm aluminum lock nut used to secure wheels, mass dampers and similar bolted-on parts against coming loose during a race. An internal nylon insert lets the screw thread "bite" into the nut so it resists working free under vibration and shock, and the nut carries a red anodized finish. This nylon-insert design is the same principle behind commercial "nyloc" nuts, adapted here into an aluminum body to save weight over the steel lock nuts often bundled with kits. Being a 2mm-thread fastener rather than a chassis-specific bracket, Tamiya lists it as compatible across every chassis generation it has produced, from the original Type 3, Type 4, Type 5 and Zero Chassis through FM-A, Super-1 to Super TZ-X, VS, MS, AR, MA, VZ and ME Chassis.
