Tamiya Skid-Tape 2 (80x120mm, 2pcs.)(15533)

A low-friction PET plastic tape meant to be applied to a car's bumper, chassis underside or other contact points that might scrape against the circuit. Where it's fitted, the slick surface lets the car glide rather than catch, helping it maintain speed, and it can also help a car slide back down into its lane if it climbs onto the circuit wall. Each sheet can be cut to whatever shape and size is needed for the area being covered.

It differs from Tamiya's other tape product, item 15463, the Mini 4WD Multipurpose Tape, a 10mm-wide roll suited to narrow edges and strips; Skid-Tape 2 instead ships as two full 80x120mm sheets meant to be cut to whatever panel shape a builder needs, such as covering a chassis underside or a wide bumper face in one piece rather than building coverage up from narrow strips. At 0.025mm thick, it adds negligible weight.
