Tamiya Nissan Terrano '93 Paris-Dakar(17011)

This entry in the Wild Mini 4WD series recreates a Nissan Terrano finished in Paris-Dakar rally livery, applied via the included stickers. The body's large wheel arches accommodate the series' signature oversized tires, which combine with a sidewinder gear layout and centrally mounted motor to drive all four wheels and enable exaggerated wheelie and two-wheel driving action rather than pure speed. Assembly is cement-free, snap-together construction.

Tamiya markets this kit under the tagline 'Palm-Sized Rally Truck.' It's a close sibling to the Mammoth Dump Truck (item 17013) in the same Wild Mini 4WD Series: both share the identical 142mm-long, 125mm-wide, sidewinder-geared 4WD chassis and 52mm/31mm tires, but the Terrano stands slightly lower at 89mm versus the dump truck's 94mm, and trades that kit's working dump bed for oversized wheel arches and rally graphics instead.
