The Mammoth Dump Truck is a construction-vehicle entry in the Wild Mini 4WD series, distinguished by a dump bed that can be raised and lowered. Like its Wild series siblings it runs on a sidewinder-geared 4WD chassis with the motor mounted centrally, paired with large 52mm-diameter, 31mm-wide tires that let it perform wheelies and two-wheel driving rather than chase lap times. The plastic kit snaps together without cement.

Tamiya markets this kit under the tagline 'Big-Wheeled Hauler.' It's a close sibling to the Nissan Terrano '93 Paris-Dakar (item 17011) in the same Wild Mini 4WD Series: both share the identical 142mm-long, 125mm-wide, sidewinder-geared 4WD chassis and 52mm/31mm tires, but the dump truck stands slightly taller at 94mm versus the Terrano's 89mm, and swaps that kit's rally graphics and wheel-arch styling for a functional, movable dump bed instead.
