Description

Iron Beak is a shaft-driven Mini 4WD racer with a distinctive V-shaped form and a beak-like nose section; its front fenders are shaped to smooth airflow, and a two-section rear wing sits at the back. It's built on the VZ chassis with parts molded in gray and red, white wheels, and low-profile tires, finished with metallic stickers.

Tamiya markets this kit under the tagline 'Sharp Looks.' The VZ chassis it shares with the Ray Spear (item 18099) is a compact, lightweight platform with reinforced bumper and rear-stay-base sections for crash durability, an adaptable layout that supports numerous setup upgrades, low-friction 620 bearings moulded in POM, and a chassis and A-parts moulded in ABS. Where Ray Spear comes from designer Takayuki Yamazaki's more understated styling, Iron Beak's V-shaped beak nose and two-section rear wing give it a sharper, more aggressive silhouette.
