Description
Cross Spear 01 was designed by Takayuki Yamazaki, the designer behind Tamiya's Cross series and other Mini 4WD models. The body is built around eye-catching truss sections that run from front to rear, with a canopy moulded in tinted plastic for a mechanical, layered look.
It runs on the VZ chassis, a compact and lightweight base moulded in gray plastic with white A-parts. The chassis is reinforced at the bumper and rear stay base for durability against racing knocks, while remaining an adaptable platform for further tuning. Low-friction 620 bearings moulded in POM keep drive losses down, and the chassis and A-parts are ABS. Green spiral-spoke wheels are fitted with small-diameter, low-profile super hard tires. Gear ratio is 3.5:1.
