Description

Raikiri is a collaboration between Tamiya and car designer Kota Nezu of znug design, a studio Nezu founded in 2005 after working at Toyota. The body takes its name and creative inspiration from Raikiri, a legendary sword from Japanese mythology, and shows it through a series of crisp, angular edges across the front and rear face panels. It's finished in black with pink graphic accents, with fine surface detailing throughout.

Underneath sits the MA (Midship AERO) chassis, which centres the motor in the car for balanced aerodynamics. This build carries a 3.5:1 gear ratio, six low-friction rollers, a rear skid bar, and the single-piece monocoque frame Tamiya uses across the MA range to keep assembly simple for racers of any experience level.

  • Assembled dimensions: 156mm (L) x 97mm (W) x 43mm (H)
  • Designer: Kota Nezu (znug design)
  • Chassis: MA, gear ratio 3.5:1, 6 low-friction rollers, rear skid bar
  • Includes double-shaft motor; snap-together assembly
  • Requires 2x AA (R6/UM3) batteries, sold separately
