LiPo Battery Compatibility & Safety
Do not select or fit a lithium-polymer (LiPo) battery for a gel-blaster product from a generic guide. The correct battery, charger, connector and limits depend on the exact product and its manufacturer-approved configuration. Confirm legal status in Malaysia before acquiring or handling the item.
Use the exact manufacturer specification
Read the product, battery and charger manuals and use only components they expressly approve. Do not assume that a different cell count, connector, discharge rating or physical size is an upgrade. Do not modify a battery, bypass protective electronics or use unverified adapters or wiring.
Non-negotiable safety checks
- Charge only with an approved charger, using the documented battery settings and while present.
- Keep charging and storage away from flammable materials, heat, direct sun and escape routes.
- Stop using a pack that is swollen, damaged, leaking, unusually hot, making unusual noises or producing an unusual odour.
- Follow the manufacturer’s local disposal instructions or contact an approved battery recycler; never put lithium batteries in general rubbish.
When professional help is needed
If the manual does not specify a replacement or the electrical system has been altered, do not make a selection by trial and error. Obtain advice from the manufacturer or a qualified service provider. A battery incident can cause serious injury and fire.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use a higher-voltage battery?
Not unless the exact product manufacturer or qualified service provider has documented that the complete system supports it.
What storage voltage should I use?
Use the storage instructions for the exact battery. There is no safe universal value to substitute for the manufacturer’s specification.
