CX-16 vs BX-46: Start Dash or Infinity Entry Set?

Choose CX-16 Start Dash Set C for one player’s equipment, an included grip and the Bahamut Blitz Expand Blade. Choose BX-46 Battle Entry Set Infinity when two people need complete starting equipment and you want the Infinity Stadium. The most important difference is the player count: CX-16 contains one Bey and one launcher; BX-46 contains two of each. Both include a stadium, but they are not interchangeable shopping baskets for a household starting from nothing.

Budget for the second player first

CX-16 provides one complete Bey, one winder launcher, a launcher grip and a stadium. It is enough to launch and practise alone, but two-person battles need another Bey and compatible launcher. If a friend already owns those, that may be ideal. If nobody does, add them to the CX-16 basket before comparing totals with BX-46. BX-46 already supplies two Beys and two winder launchers, making its two-player equipment count straightforward without separately adding a grip.

Expand customization is CX-16’s distinct attraction

The special-colour Bahamut Blitz BK1-50I uses CX Expand construction: the Blade separates into four parts rather than the original three-part CX arrangement. Its components include the Lock Chip, Assist Blade, Metal Blade and Over Blade. That is a different collecting and assembly project from simply adding another complete BX Blade. Do not assume all CX subparts are interchangeable across both constructions. Use the exact instructions and compatibility information before buying individual replacement or tuning parts for it.

Infinity changes the arena purchase

BX-46 includes Cobalt Drake 9-60R and Goat Tackle 7-70T with the Infinity Stadium. Takara Tomy describes this stadium around repeated Infinity Dash sequences and collisions between dashing Beys. That is a specific play format, not just a different colour of a standard arena. If the arena is your main reason to buy, check its assembled space and storage needs as well as the included tops. Buying it solely to practise for an event requires first confirming that event’s stadium.

Avoid confusing Drake and Dragoon

The BX-46 attacker is Cobalt Drake, not the left-spin Cobalt Dragoon from BX-34. Similar names can produce the wrong launcher expectation. Likewise, the CX-16 box contains the stated special-colour Bahamut Blitz configuration, not every Bey shown in general CX promotional material. Read the exact code and contents together. If you already own Bahamut Blitz or another Infinity set, list the duplicated parts and equipment; a new colour or spare stadium may have collecting value without being your most useful next play purchase.

Separate arena effects from Bey effects

After purchase, use the supplied setup as a baseline. If comparing the two arenas, repeat the same Bey combinations in each rather than changing both the stadium and tops together. Alternate launch sides and log finish types so repeated dash sequences do not hide a higher self-exit rate. We have not run that comparison for this guide. A one-player customization recommendation and a two-player arena recommendation answer practical needs; neither establishes which complete set is competitively stronger.

Product construction and supplied contents are sourced facts; purchase recommendations and suggested observations are editorial judgments. No weights, win rates or event eligibility are inferred from the product name.
