Malaysia's September 2026 Beyblade X G2: What We Can Verify

Malaysia had a busy Beyblade X tournament stretch in August and September 2026. The most recent event advertised specifically as a G2 X-TREME CUP was at Parkson Pavilion Bukit Jalil on 19–20 September. A month earlier, Kuching's Borneo Animation, Games & Film Festival (BAGF) programme listed separate G2 events for players aged 12 and under. Those are concrete event listings; a verified September winner, bracket and winning deck have not surfaced in the sources we could check as of 29 September.

The September G2 at Pavilion Bukit Jalil

A contemporaneous event listing, which links to Parkson Malaysia's original post, advertised the BEYBLADE X G2 X-TREME CUP for Saturday and Sunday, 19–20 September 2026, at the Level 2 Parkson entrance in Pavilion Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur. The same promotion described an exclusive merchandise sale: Beyblade X Stamp Passport holders had priority access from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.; public access began at 2 p.m., subject to stock, with a one-piece limit for customers aged six and above.

Those hours describe the merchandise sale, not the tournament schedule. The listing does not establish the match start time, age categories, entry fee, battle format or winners. If you saw photos or a result post from the weekend, treat those as a separate source until the organiser identifies the event and category.

Another recent Malaysian G2: Kuching's under-12 tournament

The official BAGF 2026 programme gives a useful comparison. On 22 August at The Hills Kuching, it scheduled a G2 under-12 team category from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with teams of three, followed by a G2 under-12 solo category from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. BAGF names Kelab Gasing Beyblade Malaysia and Saujana Upperground as organisers. Its 23 August programme then lists G3 Elite team and solo categories. The categories changed by day, so the label alone does not tell you the age group or whether you enter individually or with a team.

Why the G2 and G1 listings are easy to mix up

Pavilion Bukit Jalil also advertised a G1 X-Treme Cup activation at Pink Court, Level 2, from 11 to 27 September. Takara Tomy's GP Final schedule identifies 27 September as the Kuala Lumpur GP qualifying-tournament date. That G1/GP programme and Parkson's 19–20 September G2 listing share a mall and part of a month, but they are separate notices. We found no basis to say the Parkson G2 awarded a GP Final place.

For a sense of the wider scene, Kelab Gasing Beyblade's Merdeka Cup announcement places another major Malaysian event at Sunway Wangsa Mall from 29 August to 6 September. Its scale does not make it the same tournament as either Pavilion event.

What a player should check for the next G2

Takara Tomy Asia's published Asia regulations set a general baseline: official Beyblade X parts, judge-led Bey checks and no unauthorised modifications. They also allow event-specific instructions to take precedence. Before buying a part or travelling, get the current organiser notice and confirm the age class, team or solo entry, permitted releases, deck format, launcher requirements, registration process and start time. A G2 label by itself cannot answer those questions.
