What makes the Luster Dragoon Blade new

Luster Dragoon uses the BX Expand construction described in Takara Tomy's official gear guide: metal extends through the Blade's centre to improve rigidity and stability. Takara Tomy describes Luster Dragoon as a heavyweight left-spin Blade built for low attacks. Its two inclined main blades are shaped to lift an opponent before knocking it away, while several strong contact points are intended to attack from more than one orientation. The manufacturer rates the Blade at Attack 75, Defence 15 and Stamina 10. Those are product-chart values, not measured grams or independent win rates; no production weight has been published.

Reading the 6-60LC combination

6-60 Ratchet

6-60 places the combination at the familiar 6.0 mm Ratchet height. Its six protrusions alternate between two shapes, which Takara Tomy says improves repelling performance on contact. The official ratings are Attack 14, Defence 8 and Stamina 8. In practice, a low Ratchet can help an attacker reach underneath taller opponents, but it also leaves its own contact points exposed; that trade-off must be tested with the finished Blade.

Low Cyclone Bit

LC stands for Low Cyclone, a new Bit designed 1 mm lower than Cyclone. Takara Tomy's description says its left-spin movement grips the stadium and produces a low-centred, high-speed attack. The ratings suggest the intended behaviour, but they do not prove that LC will have better control, stamina or Xtreme Dash consistency than other Bits. Launch strength, tilt, mould variation and stadium wear can all change the result.

The included launcher is not a String Launcher

BX-52 contains a violet Winder Launcher L and a long winder. The long winder is longer than the standard separately sold winder, allowing a longer pull and, according to Takara Tomy, a stronger shot. The launcher can also accept the separately sold BeyBattle Pass.

This is a ripcord-style Winder Launcher, not a String Launcher. BX-56 String Launcher L is a separate product scheduled for the same day, which explains some early listing confusion. Check the package code instead of treating the two products as one set.

Where Luster Dragoon fits in Beyblade X history

Cobalt Dragoon BX-34 introduced left spin to Beyblade X in July 2024, and UX-17 Meteor Dragoon followed in December 2025. Luster Dragoon is therefore another left-spin X release, not the first.

The narrower first claim does matter. BX-49 Dran Strike introduced the BX Expand structure in May 2026, and BX-50 Heaven's Ring added another distinct BX Expand Blade in July. On that count, Luster Dragoon is the third distinct BX Expand Blade, the second BX Expand Starter and the first one to spin left. Pre-release competitive outlook

On paper, the parts point toward a low, aggressive attacker. A rigid heavyweight Blade, upward-angled contact points, a 6-60 Ratchet and a low, fast Bit could help Luster Dragoon get underneath opponents and convert opposite-spin collisions into knockouts. Left spin may also change the timing and recoil of matchups against the predominantly right-spin field.

That is a design reading, not a verdict. The same speed and uneven attack shape could cost stamina, increase self-knockouts or demand precise launch control. Opposite-spin contact does not automatically make a combination good at spin equalisation, especially with an Attack Bit. Until production copies are weighed and tested across repeatable matchups, claims such as “best left-spin Blade,” a fixed tier placement or a solved competitive combo are premature.

Malaysia price and availability

Current authorised Malaysian distributor metadata lists model BEYX-BX-52, distributor code 085553 and a price of RM75.90. Treat that as advance catalogue information rather than proof of sellable stock: a Malaysian street date, allocation and live availability have not been confirmed.
