Short-Dart Magazines for a Mixed Blaster Collection
‘Short dart’ describes ammunition length, not a universal magazine interface. Monkee Mods currently lists distinct Worker Talon-pattern, Slanted Talon and Nightingale slim magazines, plus ZWQ formats. Some are stocked and some are not. Before buying a magazine for several blasters, make an exact compatibility table for each magwell and adapter you own.
Record the host blaster and magwell
Write down the blaster model and version, its installed magwell, and whether an adapter is present. A magazine fitting a spare adapter on the bench does not prove it will lock, feed and release in every host blaster. The stocked Nightingale 15-dart Slim Talon magazine is explicitly platform-specific; the store warns it is not a general Talon replacement. A stocked Slanted Talon format also needs the matching adapter rather than a straight-mag assumption.
Check the feed path
Compare the magazine body, catch notch, feed lips, dart orientation and pusher travel with the manufacturer's instructions. Use intact darts of the type approved for the exact blaster. With the blaster safely unloaded and power disconnected where applicable, insert and remove the empty magazine. Then perform the manual's safe feed check; a tight fit without reliable feeding is not compatibility.
Build a small mixed-collection chart
Keep one row per blaster, magwell, adapter and confirmed magazine SKU. Mark untested combinations as untested, not compatible. The currently stocked magazine category can supply candidates, but its page includes unavailable items too, so open the chosen product page and recheck stock before ordering. Avoid extrapolating from dart length or a shared brand name.
