Magnum Saber Premium 19431: Read the Box Before Building

The name Magnum Saber spans more than one Mini 4WD release. Item 19431 is the Premium kit on a Super-II chassis, not a promise that every car carrying the Magnum Saber body uses the same running gear. Tamiya identifies a black chassis, red battery holder and rear stay, and new metallic stickers. The official page describes the finished model as 150 mm long. Use the item number on the box and the current shop page to anchor a first build.

Separate the Premium identity from the photograph

Tamiya links 19431 to Go Seiba's Magnum Saber from Let's & Go!!, but the useful purchase detail is the Super-II chassis. A photograph of an assembled car is a presentation example, not proof that paint, batteries or every display accessory is included. Check the box inventory and manual for the motor, gears, body clips and stickers before cutting parts from runners. Keep the original item label for later spare-parts questions.

Build the stock car first

Sort the chassis and red A parts, then follow the gear and axle sequence in the kit instructions. Check that the rear stay locks at its two attachment points and the gear cover closes without force. Seat the body and turn all wheels by hand before inserting two suitable AA cells. If a wheel touches the full cowl, fix the assembly rather than immediately trimming a body you have not yet run.

Use the first run as a baseline

Run the assembled kit on a proper Mini 4WD course and record whether it tracks cleanly before adding rollers, brakes or a different motor. The 150 mm published length describes the model Tamiya measured; an upgraded car can be wider or longer. Compare later changes against that stock baseline and the current event rule sheet. The Premium label describes this release, not a measured lap-time advantage over other kits.
