ZWQ S400 Mod Guide: Springs, Barrels & Magazines
The ZWQ S400 is a compact bullpup springer built around a large plunger tube, quick spring access and ZWQ's wide short-dart magazine. It has one of the clearest modification ladders in the Monkee Mods catalog: tune the spring, add barrel length, choose a magazine interface, then reshape the stock and handguard.
Stock performance / design: The current Monkee Exclusive package includes the wide 10-round magazine plus a 1.6 spring listed at 220+ FPS, a slim 19-round magazine and a Talon-format magwell adapter. The separately sold 2.0 spring is the 305 FPS option; it is not the package spring.

Recommended mods & why
- Choose the spring first. The 1.5, 1.8 and 2.0 options change the S400 more than any external part, so select the output before deciding whether the longer barrel is useful.
- Use the 600mm barrel as a consistency mod. The store claim is a modest gain, not a second power upgrade; the spring still supplies the energy.
- Pick one magazine system. Keep the wide ZWQ interface, optionally with the dual-release magwell, or install the Talon magwell for the larger magazine ecosystem. The wide and Talon interfaces do not share magazines.
- Finish with ergonomics. The buttpad changes length of pull; the pump grip and adaptable handguard family reshape the front end; the Twin Island set changes the sight line.
