Description
Aimed at Super X and Super XX chassis cars running small-diameter tires, this set includes four carbon fiber-reinforced 3-spoke wheels and four super hard narrow tires (24mm). The wheels' added rigidity helps limit bounce on landing, while the tire compound is harder and lower grip than kit-standard tires, which helps the car keep its speed through corners. Both parts are black. Being a hard compound, the tires need to be pushed on firmly to seat properly on the wheels.
This set shares its 24mm tire size and 3-spoke wheel design with 15541, but where that set uses a standard low-friction compound and is listed as fitting nearly every Tamiya chassis, this one is aimed specifically at the Super X and Super XX chassis, and Tamiya notes some chassis or bodies may still need modification for a proper fit.
