It runs a 3.5:1 gear ratio on the Super-II chassis, fitted with new 13mm stabilizer heads and EX side stays, and comes with a newly designed set of stickers for the body graphics.
Shining Scorpion Premium sits alongside the Great Emperor, Magnum Saber and Vanguard Sonic Premium kits as part of the same wave of Super-II-chassis reissues, all 150mm long. Where Magnum Saber Premium updates only its stickers and colour accents and Vanguard Sonic Premium upgrades to a carbon-fiber-reinforced nylon chassis, Shining Scorpion Premium's changes are functional: the new 13mm stabilizer heads and EX side stays are actual handling hardware, not just cosmetic additions.

We counted every non-kit SKU in our own 289-item Tamiya catalogue by named chassis. MS, AR and Super XX lead, but two-thirds of parts name no chassis at all.
Premium Kit mostly means a classic body reissued on a current chassis, not a faster car. What separates Tamiya's Base and Premium Mini 4WD kit categories.
