A direct replacement side stay for the Shining Scorpion (Super II Chassis) kit, Item 19436. Side stays take repeated impact against the course fence and can crack or fatigue over time, so Tamiya offers this AO-series part individually for repair without needing to source a whole replacement kit.
A side stay's job is to carry the side rollers that keep a Mini 4WD car tracking straight along a course fence rather than swerving into it; because those rollers are constantly brushing or knocking against the fence at speed, the stay behind them absorbs that impact every lap, which is exactly why it's one of the more commonly cracked parts on an older kit. Being tied to a single, specific kit (Item 19436) rather than a whole chassis family, this AO part exists mainly to keep older Super II Chassis kits like the Shining Scorpion race-ready long after they've gone out of production, when a full replacement kit may no longer be easy to find.
