Tamiya Mini 4WD 2x72mm Hex Shafts (10pcs.)(10314)

Ten spare hex-section wheel shafts, 2mm in diameter and 72mm long. These mate with the hex bore of Mini 4WD wheels to carry drive from the gearbox to the tires; a bent or worn shaft causes wobble and lost power, so this pack lets a shaft be swapped out on its own rather than replacing the whole axle assembly.

Tamiya lists this shaft as fitting specifically the Super X and Super XX chassis, rather than as a universal-fit item the way some Mini 4WD hardware is sold, so it's worth checking chassis before ordering. The hex cross-section keys directly into the hex bore moulded into Tamiya's wheels, transmitting drive without needing a separate pin or set-screw, while the 72mm length spans the axle mounts with enough shaft exposed at both ends for the wheels and any spacers used to set track width. A shaft bent even slightly shows up on track as a wobble at speed, which is why replacing rather than straightening one is the usual fix.
