The case's internal compartments fold out and expand once opened, giving quick access to organized parts rather than a single jumbled tray, and the dividers can be rearranged to suit whatever tools and spares a racer brings to an event. A separate bottom section is sized to hold up to three fully built, hopped-up Mini 4WD cars, so cars and parts travel together in one box.
The box is sized to nest Tamiya's own smaller storage products inside it: the Mini 4WD Parts Case (Item 15163) and Motor Case 2 (Item 15505) both fit into the upper compartments, so a racer can carry a dedicated small-parts organizer and a motor case within the larger box instead of choosing between them. A sponge sheet lines the bottom compartment to cushion the cars stored there. Outside of Mini 4WD use, the case is general-purpose enough to double as storage for other hobby materials, such as modelling paints and tools.
