Description
This FRP rear plate is the counterpart to the AR chassis front plate (item 15451), with roller holes for 9mm, 11mm, 13mm, 17mm, and 19mm sizes, all within standard Mini 4WD race regulations. Tamiya recommends fitting it together with the matching front plate for more stable cornering front and rear, rather than mixing it with a stock plate. Tamiya's compatibility listing for the rear plate is wider than the front plate's, additionally covering Super X, Super TZ-X, and ME chassis alongside FM-A, Super-II, Super XX, VS, MS, and MA chassis, and as with the front plate it notes some chassis and bodies may need modification to fit. Released in July 2012 as Grade-Up Part No.452, the extra 17mm roller-hole option not present on the front plate lets racers run a mixed roller diameter front-to-rear setup, a common tuning choice for balancing turn-in against straight-line stability.
