Description
A rear sliding damper built around a 2mm-thick aluminum plate and low-friction resin sliders, designed to absorb impacts and settle the chassis on uneven sections without robbing too much momentum. Two spring rates are included so damping stiffness can be matched to the car's weight and the roughness of the course. It is compatible with MA, AR, MS and Super-II Chassis machines, and Tamiya's fuller listing also covers FM-A, VZ, and ME chassis, though it notes some chassis may need body modification to clear the wider damper. Released in September 2013 as Grade-Up Part No.467, Tamiya cross-lists it with the HG Sliding Damper Grease Set (item 15471) as a related product, a dedicated grease formulated to keep the resin sliders moving smoothly rather than running dry under repeated impacts.
