Description
The front counterpart to Tamiya's wide sliding damper line, built from a 2mm-thick aluminum plate and low-friction resin parts. Mounted at the nose of the car, it absorbs impacts against the track's guide fence on entry to corners, cutting down the speed loss that comes from repeated fence contact. It attaches to the front of MA and AR Chassis machines and ships with two spring rates for tuning damping stiffness. Tamiya's own chassis-compatibility listing also carries FM-A and ME Chassis machines, though some bodies may need modification to clear the extra width. It is designed to work as a front/rear pair with the separately sold Wide Rear Sliding Damper (item 15467), and its sliding action is meant to be lubricated with the HG Sliding Damper Grease Set (item 15471), which supplies Extra Hard and Extra Soft viscosities that can be blended for a custom damping feel.
