Description
Announced alongside the Daihatsu KOPEN "Future Included" concept car's debut at the Tokyo Motor Show 2013, this Mini 4WD model translates the real car's swappable-body-panel concept into two distinct kits. The XMZ version featured here recreates the concept's more aggressive, tough-looking variant, and is built on the adaptable Super-II chassis rather than the RMZ's VS chassis. It's finished with silver-colored wheels and low-profile tires and runs a 4:1 gear ratio.
At 150mm overall, the XMZ kit is 5mm longer than its RMZ sibling's 145mm, a difference that tracks directly with the Super-II chassis's longer wheelbase versus the shorter VS chassis used on the RMZ. Both variants were revealed together at the same 2013 motor show unveiling, letting Tamiya launch the KOPEN's swappable-panel concept as a matched pair of kits rather than a single body design.
