Description
Razorback's body took the top award in Tamiya's 2018 Mini 4WD Design Contest in Japan; its name and lines draw on a wild-boar-inspired hot-rod theme, moulded in gun-metal ABS and finished with metallic stickers. It runs the aero-side-stay version of the FM-A chassis, which adds extra attachment points for a wider range of Grade-Up parts than the standard FM-A layout. The chassis itself is moulded in black ABS with light-green low-friction A parts such as the underpanel, and is fitted with dark-silver 6-spoke wheels and low-profile tires. It uses a 4.2:1 gear ratio, geared lower than most FM-A kits in this line-up for extra acceleration and hill-climbing torque.
