Vanguard Sonic Premium reissues the car used by Retsu Seiba in the "Let's & Go!!" anime series, here built on a Super-II chassis moulded from black carbon-fiber-reinforced nylon for added stiffness over standard ABS. The wheels are moulded in the same carbon-fiber-reinforced nylon material, while the battery holder and rear stay are moulded in red ABS for a visual accent against the black chassis.
Black wheels moulded in the same carbon-fiber-reinforced nylon as the chassis complete the set. Vanguard Sonic Premium sits alongside the Great Emperor, Magnum Saber and Shining Scorpion Premium kits as part of the same wave of Super-II-chassis reissues, all 150mm long, but it's the only one of the four built with a carbon-fiber-reinforced nylon chassis and wheels rather than standard ABS, trading Magnum Saber's colour-accent approach for a genuine material upgrade.
