Tamiya AO-1008 830 Ball Bearings (2 pcs.)(94386)

A pair of 830-size ball bearings for use in Mini 4WD roller units, approved under Tamiya's official Mini 4WD competition regulations. Swapping worn plastic rollers for ball-bearing-equipped ones reduces rolling friction where the car contacts the guide rails.

830 is one of two ball-bearing sizes Tamiya sells individually for roller maintenance, the other being the smaller 620-size bearing (also sold as AO-1011, at 6mm outer diameter, 2mm inner diameter and 2.5mm thick) — the 830 bearing is the larger of the pair, sized for bigger-diameter roller units. Fitting a ball bearing in place of a roller's stock plain bushing is one of the most common first upgrades a Mini 4WD racer makes, since it lets the roller spin freely against the course fence with far less drag than a bushing, which matters most on fast courses with banking, dips or slaloms where the rollers are constantly under load.
