Beyblade X works well as a family game, but the age range it appeals to is wider than the range that can safely handle every part of it.

Match the launcher to the child

Choose a compatible launcher that the child can operate safely and comfortably, following the product's age guidance. Practise a controlled launch under adult supervision; do not assume one launcher type is inherently more suitable or more powerful for every child.

Simplify the rules

Official scoring with burst, over and spin finishes is a lot to track. Start with first-to-stop-spinning and add scoring once the basics are comfortable.

Even out the matchups

If skill levels differ, let the less experienced player use the stronger combo, or let them pick after seeing their opponent's choice. A one-sided game stops being fun quickly.

Teach assembly early

Teach children how the three parts fit together and supervise assembly. Do not force a misaligned part; stop and check the product instructions if it will not lock correctly.
