Mini 4WD Race Etiquette

Mini 4WD meets run on shared tracks and limited pit space, and the conventions around them are most of what makes a racer welcome.

Respect the track

Do not reach across the track while others are running, and retrieve your car only when told. A hand in a lane during a heat spoils someone else's run.

Keep your pit tidy

Table space is usually shared. Keep tools and parts within your area, and clear up before the next group needs the bench.

Accept the call

Marshals make judgement calls on off-track incidents and disqualifications. Accept them and move on; arguing every call is how a regular becomes unwelcome.

Help newcomers

Local scenes are small and depend on new racers staying. Lending a tool or explaining a rule costs nothing and is why the meet exists.

Be ready when called

Heats run to a schedule. Having the car built, charged and at the track when your group is called keeps the whole meet moving.
