Shadow Shark is the fourth REV Series release, its body drawing on both the ocean predator and the "shark fin" surfaced by racing circuits. A high nose leads back to a fin that extends rearward from the cockpit, aiding airflow, while front and rear wings, side pontoons and an under-nose air intake round out the aerodynamic package. Matte-blue metal-plated 5-spoke wheels carry low-profile tires.
The AR chassis beneath it is built for durability and easy maintenance: its aerodynamic form routes air through the chassis interior to cool the battery and motor, with intakes on the chassis and body integrated into a single path, low-friction plastic bearings to minimise drivetrain losses, an underpanel and diffuser that can be removed without taking off the body, and a low-friction rear skid bar to reduce time lost on slope sections. This build runs a 4.2:1 gear ratio.

The AR chassis Mini 4WD is stiff, aerodynamic and easy to maintain. Tuning it for high-speed layouts without losing the stability that defines it.
We counted every non-kit SKU in our own 289-item Tamiya catalogue by named chassis. MS, AR and Super XX lead, but two-thirds of parts name no chassis at all.
