Hasbro vs Takara Tomy Beyblade X Names

Hasbro Beyblade X tops are the same three-part system as Takara Tomy’s: Blade, Ratchet and Bit, built to be used in a Beyblade X stadium. What changes is the box — English name order, a separate product code, and a Western street date that does not match Japan. Malaysia listings mix both namings, which is why “Sword Dran” and “Dran Sword” show up as if they were different Blades. They are not. Confirm the Blade / Ratchet / Bit letters, not the title on the cardboard.

Names that reverse

Takara Tomy (Japan)Hasbro-style English orderWhat to match
Dran Sword 3-60F (BX-01)Sword Dran3-60F
Wizard Arrow 4-80B (BX-03)Arrow Wizard4-80B
Glory Valkyrie LF (UX-20)Glory Valkerion LFLF; no separate Ratchet
Pegasus Blast ATr (CX-07)Blast PegasusATr

Valkerion is a localisation of Valkyrie, not a second Blade. Hasbro Infinity-branded kits can also change which tops ship in a stadium set — BX-46’s Cobalt Drake 9-60R is not Hasbro’s entire Infinity line, and it is not BX-34 Cobalt Dragoon. See the Infinity Stadium and UX-20 pages for those two worked examples.

Codes and dates do not line up

Japan uses BX- / UX- / CX- numbers plus occasional BX-00. Hasbro uses its own G-codes (the fall 2026 round-up already named G2745 and G4570 as Western dated items). A Hasbro code is not a translation of CX-13. Street dates lag; a Japan March release can be an October Hasbro release with different extras. Recheck the Takara Tomy line-up and the Hasbro instruction for that SKU. Age marks and stadium warnings on Hasbro manuals still apply: X tops in an X stadium, faces and hands clear.

Do the parts actually fit?

Hasbro X Blades, Ratchets and Bits are designed to interchange with Takara Tomy X parts of the same generation. That is not a promise every mould is identical, or that a Hasbro exclusive Bit exists on the Japan line-up. Left-spin still needs a left launcher on both brands. Burst launchers still do not belong on X hooks — see launcher compatibility. If a listing says “Hasbro version” without a combo string, treat it as unidentifiable.

Malaysia shopping, without a stock claim

You will see Japan names, Hasbro names and replica “style” titles on the same shelf language. Official names on this site identify reference releases; Monkee Mods catalogue items are compatible/style, not Takara Tomy or Hasbro. Match letters, then ask the organiser whether that exact part is legal. The buying authentic guide is the inspection checklist; this page is only the naming map. Do not assume a cheaper Hasbro box is fake, or that a Japanese code on a replica photo is a licensed import.

Frequently asked questions

Are Sword Dran and Dran Sword different Beyblades?

No. They are the same top: Takara Tomy's Japan release Dran Sword 3-60F (BX-01) ships as Hasbro's Sword Dran, so match the 3-60F combo string rather than the name order on the box.

Do Hasbro Beyblade X parts fit Takara Tomy X tops?

Hasbro X Blades, Ratchets and Bits are designed to interchange with Takara Tomy X parts of the same generation. That is not a promise every mould is identical, or that a Hasbro exclusive Bit exists on the Japan line-up.

Why does a Hasbro release have a different code and date from the Japan one?

Japan uses BX-, UX- and CX- numbers while Hasbro uses its own G-codes, and Western street dates lag. A Japan March release can be an October Hasbro release with different extras.

Is Glory Valkerion a separate Blade from Glory Valkyrie?

No, Valkerion is a localisation of Valkyrie, not a second Blade. The UX-20 release has no separate Ratchet, so the LF mark is what you match against the listing.

Sources, safety and catalogue wording

This guide uses the official Beyblade X guide, the official gear guide, the current official line-up and the official manual hub as references. Follow the package instructions and Beyblade X safety guidance: use Beyblade X tops only in an appropriate Beyblade X stadium, and keep faces and hands clear before launching.

Official product names and codes on this page identify reference releases. Monkee Mods catalogue listings may describe compatible or style items; they are not made by, affiliated with, or endorsed by Takara Tomy. Product availability, package contents and event eligibility can change, so confirm the exact listing and ask the organiser before an event.
