UX is short for Unique Line, the second parts system Takara Tomy introduced for Beyblade X, sitting between the original Basic Line (BX) and the later Custom Line (CX). Structurally, a UX release keeps the same three-part system as BX — Blade, Ratchet and Bit — so it slots into the same combos without a new assembly method to learn. What changes is how the Blade itself is built.

What actually makes a Blade "UX"

BX Blades tend to concentrate metal mass toward the centre of the disc. UX Blades push that mass out toward the rim instead, which is generally described as a higher Outward Weight Distribution, or OWD. In practical terms this is meant to make a Blade spin more stably and resist knockouts and stamina loss better than a BX Blade of similar size, because the weight is doing its work at the edge where it matters for spin equalisation. We have not been able to confirm the exact OWD numbers or an official engineering diagram behind this claim — it is the qualitative explanation used consistently across retailer and community write-ups, and we are presenting it as such rather than as a precise spec.

The first three UX releases

The line launched on March 30, 2024 with three Blades at once: UX-01 Dran Buster (notation 1-60A), UX-02 Hells Hammer (3-70H) and UX-03 Wizard Rod (5-70DB). Dran Buster is the easiest to break down fully: the Blade is a large, single-hit-focused attack disc; the "1-60" Ratchet gives it one protrusion at 6.0mm height, a low, single-strong-hit profile rather than a rapid-fire one; and the Accel Bit is flat-bottomed with a centre indent and 16 internal gears, built to pick up speed on Xtreme Rail stadium track and rated for high burst resistance. All three of the launch Blades spin right, matching the rest of the Basic and Unique lines at the time. UX-02 and UX-03's codes are documented above, but we did not independently verify a full Ratchet/Bit breakdown for those two the way we could for Dran Buster.

The UX line has kept going well past its 2024 launch — recent entries include UX-20 Glory Valkyrie, released July 11, 2026, and the UX-21 Hells Nether Deck Set, a standard retail release in Japan on August 8, 2026 priced at ¥4,500. Either way, "UX" on a box today can mean anything from a two-year-old first-wave part to a current release. If you're buying for a specific tournament format, confirm the exact product code against the current rules before you commit, since eligibility can change between seasons even within the same line.
