Custom Mini 4WD Decals Guide
Decals finish a build, and applying them well is mostly patience and surface preparation.
Clean and dry first
Any grease or dust under a decal will show and will cause lifting later. Clean the surface and let it dry fully before starting.
Wet application
A little water with a drop of soap lets you slide the decal into position before it grabs. Squeeze the water out from the centre outward with a soft cloth.
Curves and compound shapes
Cut relief slits into a decal that must wrap a compound curve rather than stretching it. Stretched decals shrink back and lift at the edges.
Seal for durability
Track contact and handling lift decal edges over time. A light clear coat, applied only once the decal is fully dry, keeps them in place through a season.
